Car Insurance Groups
Manufacturer Car Group Lists
Car insurance groups range from a Group 1 category car, right up to a Group 20.
However, over the next 12 months or so, the group rating
system will be migrating to a 1 - 50 system. Gulp! ... that's a lot of new
categories to apparently take into account all the extra choices we now
have.
Checking the car insurance groups of cars before a potential purchase could
save you a huge amount of money. The difference in quotes can be considerable.
Most small engine city cars fall into low car insurance groups.
Generally this means cars that have an engine capacity of around 1.0 L.
Below, we have only listed the main volume UK car manufacturers. If you
would like us to supply car insurance groups for another makel, or in another
format (eg. PDF), then drop us an email giving the make, model and year
(use the menu 'Contact' link).
